JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The dangdut singer Saipul Jamil revealed that he was not sleepy when driving a car getting into an accident that killed his wife, Virginia Anggraeni. Saipul Jamil emphasized that the accident happened as a result of huge wind rocking the car he was driving.
"I stress that I was driving in good shape, conscience, and concentration. That could happen because of the huge wind OK," said Saipul Jamil, Tuesday.
He also mentioned that accidents happened previously on the same toll road he took. Former husband of the celebrity Dewi Perssik said the huge wind would exist when the road was deserted.
"Hopefully this can be believed, the wind appears when few cars are on the street, not when a lot of them are around," added Saipul.
Virginia Anggraeni died in the accident taking place at KM 96+500 of Cipularang toll road in Purwakarta last Saturday. At the time, Saipul paying homage to the deads with Virginia and her relatives had a crash in which the car driven by him was carried away with the wind resulting in hitting the road barrier.
